What’s been happening:

I will graduate in May 2009 with combined M.D./Ph.D. degrees and begin my Pediatrics residency at Stanford University - Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Palo Alto, CA in June. I will finally join my husband, Stuart Ort, M.D. - also a Penn State University College of Medicine and Otolaryngology resident alum - who is currently doing a Neurotology fellowship at CA Ear Institute. After completion of my pediatric residency training, I am seriously considering the pursuit of a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Pediatric Infectious Disease. I ultimately plan to blend my scientific research training in immunology with my clinical knowledge, reasoning, and patient connections in order to more fully understand disease patho-physiology, and develop effective treatment protocols and clinical trials for my patients. I continue to dance and teach dance, and look forward to finding new places to move my feet and west coast students to infuse me with life in the Bay Area - California!
